We tend to forget that the participants in reality shows have private lives that we really have no business interfering in. We are so used to seeing Kate interacting with her family on our TVs that we feel everything she does in life is our business too. In reality, how much about her private life do we or should we know?

Whoopi was rude and she overstepped her bounds. Would she have asked a different guest such a private question? I really don't think so. Kate handled   the situation with grace, good for her.

Whoopi stated at the beginning that Kate wanted to address this so Whoopi did not "overstep her bounds" in bringing this up. I'm sure kate thought everyone would fawn all over her and say ow bad a person Jon is but Whoopi to her credit didn't buy it. I have new found respect for Whoopi to ask tough questions that a lot of us would like to ask.

By the way I am a woman who is not buying Kate's poor pitiful me act.

I, for one, took Whoopi’s comments differently. Whoopi is pointing out very strongly that Kate could have gotten herself arrested, but this is a mother who is not thinking about herself well being, but of her kids. She would go to jail, yes, she would jump the bridge or go into the fire. Would any of you, mothers, would not run to make sure your kids are OK since your ex has shown questionable judgments? Yes, the police got some sense into her, so she stopped in time, but she was not thinking about her own safety, not like most of you accuse her of. You mean to tell me your soon-to-be (not yet) ex is having one of his girlfriends “baby sit” your children, and you would be happy about it???? What kind of mothers are you? Whoopi is pointing out a quality in a mother most of you seems to be missing.

I agree that Whoopi was inconsiderate of Kate's position as a NEWLY single mother.  Kate was not stubborn and prideful as she tried to explain her side of things.  Whoopi sat there acting like Kate had to answer to her personally and because of it I couldn't help but notice her outfit looked like a Judge's robe.

It's funny because I have always felt that Kate is a wonderful mother, maybe not the best wife, but isn't it apparent that she loves her kids more than anything?  She has been treated horribly by the media and judged by our country even though the majority of us have no clue what her world is really like.

I agree with Whoopi, How did Kate know that one nanny was working out of all the nannies her and Jon use? Something is fishy and if Whoopi was allowed to continue asking questions I believe Kates Story would have fall apart. I believe the nanny in question was  a plant . Timming is everythink in show biz. Kate shows up out of the blue on Jon's time with kids when this nanny is on duty. This happen 8/13/2009. Kate happens to have appearances on the View when the nanny in question sells her story. Take a look at this clip it sounded like the nanny in question was a last minute replacement. Kate seems to be a control freak and her husband was treated like he didn't matter all those years. He loves his children and has the parental right to make decisions without consulting her. She is playing the sympathy card and I am not buying into it. I am glad Whoopie added some clarification.
