Jon and Kate Plus 8 Series Finale: What You Didn’t See!

The unexpected series finale of TLC’s popular hit reality TV show Jon and Kate Plus 8 aired last night and provided some form of closure to millions of loyal fans. The unhappy ending of a family of 10 who seemed to be inseparable a mere 5 seasons ago has left fans of the show wondering what’s next for Jon, Kate and their 8 adorable children.

Last night’s finale featured many monologues by both Jon and Kate, discussing their divorce and providing insight on how a once-happy family ended up so broken.

The finale also showed new footage of the children and ended with clips from past seasons. The touching montage of clips accompanied by Kate speaking about how she doesn’t know where to go from here (or how she’s going to support her family financially) made the finale one of the saddest reality show episodes to watch.

While thousands of fans (myself included) prayed that the show would end for the sake of the children, last night’s episode was a reality check. What are the Gosselins going to do? Will there be enough money to support all the children and allow them to live comfortable, happy lives? Will Kate have to find a new job and hire a full-time babysitter? So many questions left unanswered.

But what didn’t you see during last night’s finale? You didn’t see Jon bring Kate a bouquet of flowers to the courthouse and practically give up custody of his children. That’s right, Kate has primary custody of the children and Jon basically let it happen. Way to fight for your children, Jon!

We’re not sure what the flower arrangement was about but we’re pretty sure it was some form of publicity stunt as well. Story of his life.

What did you think of last night’s finale? And are you worried about the well-being of Kate and the kids?

I am very sorry to see the show end. I wish Kate and the kids all the best. Hope TLC will produce few times a year a “Special” with her children to allow Kate to pay off the house, I hope Kate will get to do children movies (more than 1) voice of a character which would help to support her family, as well as her own product spoke person for regular income and maybe even a talk how. I do not have much wishes for Jon, he is not honest.

Jon & Kate are going to be just fine!  These are two educated people, why are we all feeling so sorry for them??? Many people go through divorce including myself. My kids had a hard time through it all and are better for now - things don't come easy!! I had to cut back on all the spending and they will have to do the same.  They live in a million dollar house! They have gotten everything most people only dream of having and it took only five years. Th e kids are school age now and really are not that different from any other 5 year old. People should spend time doing things with their own children instead of watching what Kates kids are doing. It will be a change for the better in their family. Kids need to be kids!

I'm sure they made a ton of money and have some invested for the kids. Kate should make up with her parents because once they are gone you can't get the time back. I didn't see the last show because I have had enough of it. The show should of ended last May when they were starting to live different lives. People say that Kate and Jon are greedy but I think TLC are the greedy ones! TLC was controlling everything that J&K were doing.

The public needs to move on!! The kids may now have a chance at a "normal" life which is just what they need. What ever happened to the "Christian" beliefs the family had??? I have never heard them say how blessed they were.  Thankful not blessed! Thanks for reading, I feel better. I pray for the entire family, they all need help!

I am glad the show is finally going off-air.  This should have happened atleast 6 months ago, maybe more..

TLC better be prepared to pay for family counselling because everyone needs it, but most of all, those kids.  Being used to camera's more or less 24/7 has become their norm and to have it taken away IS going to affect them.  Mady and Cara are acting out due to their folks impending divorce, the younger ones may not know exactly what is going on, but one day each one of those kids are going to google their parents and it'll be a sad awakening.

I hope the media, and fans leave them alone to heal.  And that Jon and Kate can put their kids first and stop the crap on air, stop trying to outdue eachother and act like mature responsible adults.

Kate has really good people telling her how to dress, how to act, unfortunately Jon doesn't..Difference is, she's better at hiding than he is. They BOTH are messed up, selfish and let the fame go to their head, just p*sses me off that Kate tries to make it seem like she's done nothing wrong and Jon is the one who created most of this mess.  He is far from innocent, he's made some bad choices, but atleast he's owning up to that, she on the other hand, is sneaky and trying to win the public.

Finally the end. jon should have put Kate in her place a long time ago and maybe it wouldn't have come to this. She was nasty to him and belittled him at every turn. Kate never showed her gratitude the he gave up work to stay home and help raise their family. Not many husbands would have put up with her.

Most large families never get the chance to have everything given to them for free and Kate decided that the more she could get the better. It has been as much about her as it has been about the kids having. the lost she is feeling and saying it is ending to soon is again about her and the loss of all the freebies.

The poor, poor kids with both parents thinking of no one but themselves. the kids are the real victims in all this. It will be very interesting to see where and how they are in five years. My fear would be not in a very good place and never seeing either parent on a regular bases.

Jon & Kate shame on both of you for what you have done to eight innocent children who I hope inspite of you will have happy health lives.

How very true of the above comments.   The Gosselins made more than 6 million dollars so I can't imagine their life styles changing for the worse unless they overspend.   Their children's college educations are set and if all of the other money is invested wisely Kate and Jon really never have to work again in their lives.    I don't feel sorry for Kate at all, I was horrified when she was asked if she kept in contact with her parents and her reply was "We email each other".   What kind of crazy answer is that?!!!  Email your parents as the only contact, I think Kate is a very selfish vile person and I sure hope she changes for the better.   I am sure her family of sisters, brother and parents have been horribly hurt by her outrageous behavior.   As for Jon, I feel sorry for him and yes he has done some stupid stunts, but he seems so much more real and honest and he dearly loved and respected his own parents.   I sure hope the children turn out well and that Kate Gosselin never makes another penny off of her public image.
