The Miss USA 2010 pageant is set for kick-off in a mere week, and what would the pageant be without yet another scandal.
A few years back, Tara Conner made headlines after being accused of a cocaine addiction and for allegedly kissing the Miss Teen USA title holder that year.
Last year, Carrie Prejean made headlines when she revealed in the interview segment that she opposed gay marriage. Shortly after Prejean sparked more controversy when racy pics of the beauty queen showing off her assets began circulating the Internet.
Compared to Tara Conner’s drug scandal and Carrie Prejean’s photo scandal, the sexy black and white pics of this year’s Miss USA contestants seem incredibly PG.
So what’s the big deal?
The Miss USA organization has been receiving countless emails and telephone calls regarding the steamy photos they released of this year’s participants (see photos below). What we can’t understand is why everyone is so angry when it’s been very clear from the beginning that these women are judged based on their attractiveness and sex appeal.
Besides, it’s not like they’re showing their tatas or anything (unlike Carrie Prejean).
The Miss USA organization is standing by their choice to release the photos and we have to agree.
If you don’t want to see women posing provocatively in almost-nothing in an effort to win a competition then you should be watching the annual spelling bee competition – not the Miss USA pageant.
Take a look at some of the racy photos below and let us know if you think the Miss USA organization was out of line:
