Maybe she’s got a really great financial planner?
Amanda Bynes took to her Twitter account last weekend to proclaim her retirement from acting. The announcement comes about 3 years too late, as she was last seen in the movie Sydney White sometime in 2007.
Are we supposed to be upset?
The actress wrote the following Tweets on the morning of June 19th:
“Being an actress isn’t as fun as it may seem.”
“If I don’t love something anymore I stop doing it.”
“I don’t love acting anymore so I’ve stopped doing it.”
“I know 24 is a young age to be retired but you heard it here first I’ve #retired.”
Personally I can’t see what is not to love about acting – hair and make up, craft service, a six-figure salary – but if she has truly lost her passion for the profession, then maybe it is time for her to take a break. As for officially retiring, I’ll wager that she’ll live to regret that statement.
Before her string of retirement tweets Amanda also commented on her love of black men, and wrote that she saves her energy only for people who deserve it. She’s so deep. If only Amanda would choose “author” as her next career. We could only be so lucky.
