Today is the day that ultra-sexy, mildly disturbing cover of Rolling Stone featuring the stars of True Blood officially hits news stands.  And like any ultra-sexy mildly disturbing magazine cover, it’s done a great job of making headlines.

Alexander Skarsgard Eric Northman, Anna Paquin Sookie Stackhouse (or, “Sook-eh!” as Bill says it) and Stephen Moyer Bill Compton grace the cover of Rolling Stone wearing cranberry-esque blood stains and, well, each other.  

Generally you would think that it would be a little awkward to strip down with your costars, but True Blood has its characters get naked so much that we’re sure shooting this cover was just like another day at the office for the True Blood trinity.

Though nearly every character has had a sex scene on the show – vampires, werewolves, humans, and other supernatural beings alike – none of the sex is quite as good as the vampire sex, which, True Blood fans know, can happen at the astonishing rhythm of 120 bpm while simultaneously devouring one’s neck and making your eyes roll back into your head, says Stephen Moyer.

However, no nude scene is reportedly as good as an Alexander Skarsgard nude scene – the actor apparently quite literally lets it all hang out.  “If we’re naked in the scene, then I’m naked.  I’ve always been that way.”
