This was clearly an attempt by Vanity Fair to expose Miley and make her look more scandalous than she is. If they had any respect for Miley or her family they would have blatantly shown her the photo afterwards and asked her if she was comfortable with it. The fact that they released it when she didnt want it to be released was extremely unprofessional.

I think, while it was unfair on the part of Vanity Fair to release the photo, Miley has to start taking responsibility for her actions. SHe's made an awful lot of apoogies lately for posing in scandlous positions and she wasn't forced to take off her top and pose for the magazine. SHe could have flat out refused. Nonetheless, she is still 15 years old and I think this photo shoot is a depiction on how immature and naive she still is. It's not her fault, she is still only 15 years old but at some point she has to step up and start taking responsibility.

i think vanity fair should be ashamed of themselves trying to take advantage of a young minded vulnerable teenage girl like miley. Shes still young and trying to find her way in life. she dont need people trying to destroy her or her reputation. shes got great potential and is well capable of making it in life. she dont need no one trying to stir up some drama. their just trying to make a quick buck not caring about how it could effect someone elses life. its pretty sad that americans have gone thus far to make more money for themselves. i think its quite shameful

Come on guys - we were all 15 once. At that age we all made some silly decisions, liked to think we were older than we were, and did some things we regret. Miley is unfortunate that she has to play out an akward time in life infront of the whole world. to be honest, I think it's a great photo. I'm in my late teens and I think that this photos is a perfect representation of what it is to be 15. In the photo, she's posing provocatively, but her face is still childish. It's a depiction of being stuck in that awkward age between being a 'tween' and an adult. Trying to be grown up, but retaining childish vulnerability.
