I totally loved Fantasia last night, too! Her natural and exuberant energy, her performing talent, her originality and stage presence. She was awesome crazy FUN!!! She made the show worth watching. Otherwise, it would have been one of the most boring Idol nights ever. I really think Fantasia saved the show last night and gave everybody a lesson of what a true Idol should be about.

I agree with Robbery, fantasia was awful. I guess there are some who enjoy her but I thought she was really bad. Hard to look at too.

yea, aweful...aweful....Simon was priceless...said it all...WTF...and for anyone that thkns that saved the show last night have to be blind or tone deaf...Not that I'm the biggest Idol fan....!!....but I have seen better Karaoke Jokes than that Fantasia performance....A+ Horrible

The worst I have ever seen on AI. Some of the people who did not make it pass the audition could have done a better job. I am a fan of singers not screamers. It is a total lack of talent, just a case of right place right time. ARGH!

Not sure what to say....I love fannie but just not crazy about all the screaming. She really has a nice voice but could have left out the screaming. But the song she sung is on her latest CD. The song is nice.

It's a bitter sweet thing about last night. She is still the best vocalist EVER on Idol but lastnight... UGH.

I think she was overly excited about getting back to the stage with her music rather than the broadway.

But what can we say? She is FANTASIA and we love her.....

I've read so many negative comments about Fantasia's performance. It all just sounds like a bunch of conservative thinkers who can't get pass a limited way of thinking. I thought Fantasia was wonderfully raw and real. She's one of the few performers who opens up their soul to their audience. She's gained so much more confidence since her AI days and it showed in her performance. She looked and sounded fantastic and her energy was wildly entertaining...which after all, that's what it's all about. Sure, not everyone is going to like her style since everyone has different tastes, but using 'ghetto' as an insulting term just isn't cool.

I think she did an amazing. She is so talented and last night she proved why she won American Idol when she did. She is a great performer and she did an outstanding job last night. everyone is saying that she was screaming. She always does that when she sings. Thats why her voice is so unique. I LOVED it! She did her thang! The song title describes this whole season "Bore Me (Yawn)"

She performed this with her band on GMA and she and her backup singers wer freestyling vocally. I have to say I like this one better because although the song itself doesn't showcase Fantasia's vocals she is a true performer. I wish she used her vocals more and maybe cut out about 20 seconds of the dancing and just freestyled like she did on GMA.

Fantasia's performance was a tsunami of funk, soul, rythm and raw, distilled sexual energy. It transformed her in five minutes from a distant memory to a reinvigorated superstar. For those who didn't get it, that's ok- you either have soul in your soul, or you don't. Go watch Billy Ray Cyrus or Johhn Cash. I personally tuned in to the rerun of Idol the same night solely to watch Fantasia rock it again.

And at the end, Simon, Randy and Paula were all applauding breathlessly, by the way. As was the enraptured audience.

The only thing one should expect from Fantasia is that she will put on a performance to remember and give them something to talk about. She did that in spades....LOVED it, and I'm ready to hit up Ticketmaster for concert tickets! It will be the tour of the season...be there or be completely square! Your choice. I wouldn't miss it for the world.
