Kate Gosselin is making headlines again this week with her on-air dispute with The View cohost Whoopi Goldberg.
The two women went head-to-head last week when Whoopi Goldberg slammed the mother-of-eight for showing up to her home when it wasn’t her time with the children.
 It seems as though the two other women on the panel (Joy and Sherri) were on Team Kate but Whoopi really laid into the reality TV star, even threatening Kate with the fact that she could have gone to jail for showing up unannounced when it wasn’t her time with the kids.
Kate tried to explain herself several times, claiming it was her motherly instincts that were telling her there was something wrong with the babysitter Jon had hired, but Whoopi wasn’t buying her story.
In the end, Kate got to tell her side of the story but Whoopi left the conversation on a not-so-positive note by saying “I can’t even deal with the rest of this” and then breaking for commercial.
Whoopi may not have liked Kate’s attitude on the show but producers did – Kate’s stint as a co-host was recently extended, the first step in her ultimate goal to become a talk show host.

The Emmy Primetime Awards are kicking off as we speak and the red carpet pre-show is nearing an end. After watching all of the lovely fashionistas strut their stuff down the red carpet, we’ve narrowed down our top picks for best dressed at the 2009 Emmys.

 5. Heidi Klum. No one rocks the red carpet better than Heidi Klum and the ready-to-pop Project Runway host never disappoints. The gorgeous Victoria’s Secret model looked sophisticated and elegant in a classic floor-length black sparkly dress and pulled back hair. It’s her timeless style and loveable personality that landed her the No. 5 position on our best-dressed list this year.
 4. Kate Walsh. Kate Walsh looked absolutely stunning as she graced the red carpet at tonight’s 2009 Emmys. Her floor-length dress hugs her in all the right places and has secured her the No. 4 spot on our list this year.
 3. Christina Applegate. A true comeback for the blonde bombshell this year, Christina Applegate looked and felt sexy and fabulous while rocking the red carpet this year. Dressed in a floor length royal blue gown, the Samantha Who? star was a true winner and definitely deserved a spot on our best-dressed list.
 2. Jennifer Love Hewitt. She’s always been one of our favourite fashionistas and she didn’t disappoint this year. Jennifer Love Hewitt looked glowing in a soft yellow, figure-enhancing floor-length dress. Long dark curls and a sparkly silver clutch topped off her award-winning look – which secured her the runner-up position on our best dressed of the 2009 Emmys.
 1. Olivia Wilde. We’d like to say it was a hard decision as to who should win the first place position for best-dressed but we’d be lying. Sexy Olivia Wilde proved exactly why she was voted as sexiest female in the world in this revealing silver floor-length gown. The daring style of this chic dress was just one of the reasons why Olivia stole the top spot. No one rocked the red carpet better than Olivia this year.

It’s official – Avril Lavigne and husband Deryck Whibley have called it quits on their three year marriage.  According to Lavigne’s blog “I am grateful for our time together, and I am grateful and blessed for our remaining friendship. I admire Deryck and have a great amount of respect for him. He is the most amazing person I know, and I love him with all my heart. Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note.” Rumors have been circulating for months that the marriage was on its last leg, and we now know those rumors were true. According to sources, Whibley “is crushed” by Avril’s decision. The couple married in 2006 when Avril was 21, Deryck 26. Certainly not the first young couple to part ways after tying the knot and most definitely not the first public break-up in Hollywood – I think we’re all surprised it lasted that long!

Survivor Samoa starts tonight and already there is a villian to despise. His name is Russell Hantz, he's an oil company owner from Dayton, Texas and he's definitely going to stir up some drama this season.
 CBS released 2 quick clips of this dirt-ball being a jackass in the beginning of the show. They are calling him the evil genius but I don't see anything genius about this guy so far. It is said that he will be the most hated person by the second or third episode but we're pretty sure he's secured that title already.
If nothing else, Russell should spice things up this season - which is most likely why CBS cast him in the first place.
In addition to Evil Russell, there's another controversial contestant this season. Her name is Shannon and she's already insisted the other contestants call her Shambo. Bossy - we like her already.
CBS has dubbed Shambo as the loud, obnoxious contestant who's not afraid to get in peoples faces. Should be interesting to see how Shambo and this Russell interact with one another.
All in all, it's shaping up to be a pretty dramatic season. We can't wait!

Big Brother winner Jordan Lloyd and her boyfriend in the house, Jeff Schroeder sat down for their first interview with Julie Chen since Jordan was crowned winner last night.
 The video of the interview is only a few minutes long but there are some very interesting things said between Jeff and Jordan. When asked how she was feeling after winning the $500,000, Jordan replied with “Uh, speechless. He’s like you’re acting like you don’t even know me in there.”
Those of you who watched the finale last night probably noticed the same thing. We’re not sure if Jordan was disappointed that Jeff said she was “on a short list” for going to Hawaii with him but when she came out of those doors as winner, she basically ignored Jeff the whole time.
Jeff kind of stood around Jordan waiting for her to acknowledge him but she just seemed preoccupied with other things. Perhaps she was just overwhelmed.
Julie jokingly said to Jordan “you see how money changes someone.”
Despite their actions after being reunited last night, Jeff and Jordan seemed very happy together. Maybe now she can take him on a trip somewhere too – it’s a two-way street, right?
We’re interested to see where this relationship goes!

Last night’s highly anticipated finale of Big Brother 11 was definitely one to remember – and was definitely one that America enjoyed.
Year after year, the winner ends up being someone America (and most of the houseguests) despise but this year was definitely an exception.
Since day one America fell in love with Jordan Lloyd, 23, and rewarded her honesty and loyalty by giving her America’s vote last night.
But the millions of viewers weren’t the only ones who fell in love with Jordan, her housemate Jeff Schroeder also did. The two had a solid pack to become the final two and take home the $500,000 first place prize and the $50,000 second place prize.
Needless to say, that did not happen. Jeff was the 5th last houseguest to be evicted from the Big Brother house, eliminating his chances of winning any money. But alas, America pulled through once again and gave Jeff the title of America’s Player and a cash prize of $25,000. Not bad!
Jordan says she’ll spend her winnings on a down payment for a house for her mom and brother (she and her mom are currently sleeping in the same bedroom because they can’t afford a big enough house), college tuition for her cousins and maybe buy herself a new car.
So it appears that everything worked out extremely well during last night’s finale – oh except that money-whore Natalie won second place – but we can deal with that if it means Jordan won.
We’re pretty sure we don’t even need to ask the question but we’ll ask it anyways: Are you happy Jordan won Big Brother 11 – or do you think someone else was more deserving?

It's Kate Gosselin's second day as co-host of The View and the highly controversial reality star is mixing up her look and tossing her signature hairstyle aside for some wavy new locks!
While Elisabeth Hasselbeck is away on maternity leave, Kate stepped in to join the women of The View for the first and second day of their fresh new year.
And while Kate discussed a variety of topics while on the show (everything from her kids, to her divorce to her meltdown this weekend) it was Kate's new hairstyle that has everyone talking.
Stylists for The View gave the mother-of-eight a brand new wavy hair style that she called "cute."
At first glance, Gosselin, looked like a mirror image of orignal host Elisabeth Hasselbeck. We could have sworn it was her sitting with Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Sheri Shepard and Whoopi Goldberg but we were fooled - it was definitely Kate Gosselin sporting a similar hairstyle that Elisabeth rocked before she left the show to have her third child.
Frankly, we're loving the new look. We're hoping that she'll be able to pick up a nice, hot piece of ass now that's rocking a new 'do - that'll show Jon and his trashy girlfriend.
Time to say goodbye to beer-bellied, douche bag Jon Gosselin and his pot smoking, 22-year-old, gold digging, girlfriend Hailey Glassman.
It's never too late to turn over a new leaf, start a fresh beginning and put out the trash. Things seem to be looking up for Kate!

Kicking off the 24th season of the Oprah Winfrey show with a bang, the queen of daytime sits down with the one and only Ms. Whitney Houston for an exclusive and most certainly candid interview where – as you can see in the video below – no topic is off limits.
Conversation was point blank and centered around the singer’s personal life including her troubled relationship with husband Bobby Brown, her struggles with cocaine addiction and her come back career.
After her interview with Houston, Big O went on to comment publicly about how this interview was the best interview she’s ever done since starting her show 24 years ago. She even insisted that she’s never felt a closer connection with someone she’s been interviewing.
After years of seclusion, we’re happy to see the re-emergence of a healthy and happy looking Houston, whose new album “I look to you” went straight to number one and continues to sell copies by the thousands.
Perseverance is the key to any struggle – just ask Whitney Houston…

Kanye West’s singing career may be over but it seems as though he might have a career in acting. His appearance on Jay Leno last night, where he took the time to sit down with Leno and apologize – again – to Taylor Swift for ruining her big VMA moment may have some people fooled but not us.
 We’re sure that Kanye felt significantly worse by the time he hit Jay Leno’s stage last night – after all, most of the hangover was probably over and what he had done to a poor 18-year-old girl had finally sunk in – but his apology was about as good as Chris Brown’s well-rehearsed video apology after beating up Rihanna.
Anyone can memorize what they’re going to say and put on a sad face and make people believe that they feel really bad for what they’ve done but their true colors show in off-the-cuff moments like Kanye’s outburst on Sunday night.
So nice try at grasping the tiny bit of hope that you might still have a career in music Kanye, but we’re not buying it.

Legendary actor and respected movie star Patrick Swayze has died at the young age of just 57. News of the actor’s death hit mainstream media about an hour ago and has taken the world by storm.
 Patrick had been battling cancer publicly for well over a year and has finally succumbed to the deadly disease this week. Friends and family are mourning the well-respected actor who stole the hearts of millions as Johnny in the hit movie Dirty Dancing.
Patrick had been living his life in the public – especially for the last year – when tabloids and media outlets criticized him for not kicking his nicotine habit and continuing to smoke cigarettes despite his cancer.
"Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," his rep tells PEOPLE in a statement.
The tragic news has taken the media by storm and has left many fans, friends and family members in tears.
Patrick Swayze was one of the most respected actors of his generation. Hopefully – if nothing else – his death will make everyone remember how precious life really is and that each moment should be lived to the fullest.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Patrick’s family members, friends and family during this difficult time.

Serena Williams is sparking media attention this week after she completely lost her cool during a match at the US Open semi-final 2009, this past Sunday, with Kim Clijsters.
 The highly talented tennis star had been called for a foot fault during her second serve and something snapped in the usually-composed athlete.
Long story short, Serena approached and verbally assaulted the line judge and also threatened to shove the tennis ball down the judges throat. A lot of profanity was being thrown around by Serena, the sister of fellow tennis star Venus and US Open officials were not impressed.
Serenas outburst ultimately cost her the game. The chair umpire awarded a point to Kim Clijsters which ended the game and resulted in a loss for Williams.
Sources today are saying that Serena Williams is claiming to have forgotten what was said during this match but insists there were no threats made.
Hmmm. If you can't remember what happened, how can you be sure you never threatened anyone? Seems a little sketchy to us.
Just to show Serena how disgusting her tantrum was US Open officials have fined her $10,000 for unsportsman-like conduct and $500 for racket abuse.
Where is your apology Serena? These actions are not those of a professional tennis star with a promising future, if you ask us!

Everyone is talking about Kanye West's outburst during Taylor Swifts VMA speech for Best Female Video of the Year during last night's show and it doesn't seem like people will be done talking for a while. Just hours after the VMAs aired, video of Kanye West ruining Taylor Swift's speech hit the Internet and we have it all below!
 While Kanye's rude and unneccesary ambush of Taylor Swifts speech (if you haven't heard about it, click here and here) was enough to make anyone furious, his apology was as much of an embarassment as his actions. Here's what Kanye had to say to Taylor for ruining one of the biggest moments of her life:
“I’m sooooo sorry to Taylor Swift and her fans and her mom [Andrea]," Kanye wrote on his blog. I spoke to her mother right after and she said the same thing my mother would’ve said. She is very talented! I like the lyrics about being a cheerleader and she’s in the bleachers! …………………… I’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment!…………….. Beyonce’s video was the best of this decade!!! I’m sorry to my fans if I let you guys down!!!!! I’m sorry to my friends at MTV. I will apologize to Taylor 2mrw. Welcome to the real world!!!! Everybody wanna booooo me but I’m a fan of real pop culture!!! No disrespect but we watchin’ the show at the cribe right now cause…. Well you know!!!! I’m still happy for Taylor!!!! Boooyaawww!!!! You are very talented!!!!! I gave my awards to Outkast when they deserved it over me… That’s what it is!!!! I’m not crazy yall, I’m just real. Sorry for that!!! I really feel bad for Taylor and I’m sincerely sorry!!! Much Respect!!!!!”
Now that's a half-assed apology if I ever heard one. And, here's a piece of advice Kanye: A true apology doesn't include defending your actions and reiterrating what you're apologizing for in the first place. If it's not wholehearted then don't bother writing it.

It’s the moment everyone is going to be talking about tomorrow: Kanye West rips the microphone out of Taylor Swifts hands while she’s giving her acceptance speech for Best Female Video of the Year and says “Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.”
 As we reported earlier, Beyonce looked confused and embarrassed as Kanye stole the spotlight from the country songstress and made her leave the stage in tears. But, being the classy woman that she is, Beyonce came back and ended up saving the day for Ms. Swift.
Afer Beyonce was announced as the winner of Video of the Year, she graciously stood up to give her acceptance speech and started it off by saying she remembered when she won her first VMA award as part of Destiny’s Child when she was 17. She went on to say how it was an extremely important moment in her career. She then asked Taylor to come back on stage to have her moment in the spotlight and let Taylor give her speech instead of Beyonce giving hers.
A happy ending to what could have been a very disastrous night.
Oh, and according to MTV VMA officials, Kanye was given the boot from the show after his antics.

We’re not exactly sure what Kanye West is on but he totally ambushed Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for her VMA win for Best Female video, stealing her microphone and insulting her win.
So here’s what happened. The nominations for Best Female Video were announced. Taylor Swift was announced the winner and just after she thanked her fans for giving her the award and acknowledged that she never thought she could win, Kanye West grabbed the microphone out of her hand and said “Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.”
Beyonce, looking embarrassed and confused (much like Taylor Swift) kept shaking her head and really had no idea what was going on.
Taylor, being the sweetheart that she is, stood politely and waited for Kanye to give the microphone back – only to be cut-off by a video that began playing on the big screen.
Needless to say, Taylor didn’t get to say her speech at all and Kanye West made a huge ass of himself. Once again Kanye showed the world his true colors and took a great moment away from a very deserving young lady.
Thanks again Kanye. Thanks for nothing.
On another note, Taylor Swift looked amazing and is one of the most respected and talented musicians of her generation. More than we can say for you, right Kanye?

Jordan has won the final hoh part 2. Go Jordan, go! The competition was a game of skee ball where the houseguests had to roll a ball up a slope, (each ball had the name of an hoh winner), into a hole in the correct order from the first person to have won HOH to the last HOH winner.
 It was, lying Natalie competing against honest Jordan.
Natalie got 5 right and Jordan got 9. Looks good on Natalie who was stupid enough to have let Kevin win the first part of the HOH competition.
I mean, come on, you're playing for half a million here and you're willing to bet it on the fact that Kevin may or may not take you to the Final 2.
With all of the lies that she's told throughout this season she must know that others will be lying too. Unknown to Natalie, sly Kevin is planning on taking Jordan to the final two. He'd be stupid not to.
Personally,I am cheering for Jordan to beat these two slime balls. I know that she hasn't played the game hard, what so ever, but she has made it to the final three without lies and deceit and that's a winner to me.
