Paris Hilton Makes Guiness Book of World Records

Paris Hilton has officially landed herself a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. Unlike most celebrities who are recognized for their accomplishments in acting, singing and directing, Paris is being recognized as the most over-rated celebrity. Congratulations Paris, what an honor that must be!

Sources say the hotel heiress landed herself a place in this world renowned book through a number of magazine polls. Apparently "The Simple Life" star's name just kept popping up again and again. Some of the poll topics included "which celebrity do  you dislike the most" and "who is the most overrated celebrity"? Paris, who is constantly putting herself in the public eye, has yet to comment on her recognition but I'm sure she will think its an honor just to be recognized, regardless of the reason - poor girl!

Throughout the years, numerous celebrities have found themselves in the Guinness Book of World Records. In 2004, Maddona was recognized as having the highest earnings for a female singer. The Rock also gained himself a spot in the infamous book by being the highest paid actor in a debut role for his film "The Scorpian King." These celebrities, unlike Paris Hilton, are being recognized for their actual accomplishments - not for being dislike and underappreciated for what they do.

I think it's pathetic that she's even getting recognition for something as stupid as this. She declared herself an icon of the 20th century - who names themself that? She is getting way too much publicity and, although any normal person would be offended with this title, she's probably just happy she's still in the public eye.

I agree with Sara. Paris Hilton is pathetic and we shouldn't be acknowledging her at all - even for something as stupid as this!

I don't understand why everyone hates Paris so much? She does nothing, she lives her life the way she wants. So what if she is famous for absolutely no reason. But if i were in her shoes i would play it up too. It pays her bills and gives her the opportunity to do whatever the hell she wants. And the only reason she is the most over rated celebrity is because the public makes her this way; blogs like this make her this way; your hate for her fame and most of beauty, make it all so. So just step back from the hate and realize that if any of you were in her position you would also be having the time of your life.

I have always said, if i make it anywhere near famous, i would sell out in a second, i dont care about fan base or any of that because when it comes down to it, it's all about the dollar dollar bills.

I think that's a horrible way of looking at things. You say it pays her bills and gives her the opportunity to do whatever she wants? Well in case you haven't heard - she's an heiress, she's getting millions of dollars no matter what. Why sell yourself short when you don't have to?

There are millions of people out there who need money way more than she does who are wiling to work hard to support themselves and not comprimise their integrity. She has millions of dollars and is receiving millions more for being a floozy. maybe she should consider doing something she's actually proud of. When she's 50 years old, will she really be proud of the way she lived her life? I don't think so!

Pride is over rated. Life is just to live. She does it the way she wants to. Maybe you should stop judging her and work on your (what seems to be) bland life.

i know people who know her and I am told she is a very nice person and you have to admire her not snapping under all the scrutiny.  Being in the limelight is not easy and given that she really does not need money, she did not need to cut an album which is really not that bad.
