Over the past couple of years, Gap's performance has been less than impressive compared to the revenue, traffic and sales of other online retail stores. Their latest (and potentially most successful) attempt to boost interest in the company is an online shoe store called Piperlime.com. This shoe store may potentially lead the online footwear market in the next couple of years and is expected to dominate by 2010.
So what exactly does Piperlime do? The online store sells a number of name brand shoes for men, women, kids and small infants.
