Trend of the Season - Skull Scarves

One of the most popular trends in Hollywood over the past few months has been the skull scarves originally released by Alexander McQueen. These scarves have become unbelievably popular among some of Hollywood's hottest celebrities including Sienna Miller, Ashley Olsen, Lindsay Lohan, Johnny Depp and more. The scarves can be worn in a number of ways and are this season's hottest trend by far.

Whether you like to wear the scarves tied around your head like Nicole Richie, around your neck like Johnny Depp and Paris Hilton or around your waist like Sienna Miller, there's a way to incorporate your personal style into each one of the accessories. They are available in a multitude of colors including black, blue, red, green, white and more.

So far, there are two extremely popular designers donning the skull look: Alexander McQueen and Tiffany Alana. If you're looking for the higher end, more authentic skull scarves, you'll want to choose McQueen's version which sells for just over $100 a pop. If you're looking for a less expensive version (still worn by many celebrities like Paris HIlton, Ashlee Simpson and more) you may want to purchase from Tiffany Alana, who sells the pieces for approximately $50 each.

It seems as though the skull trend has been quickly passed onto other accessories as well. While most people are interested in the scarves, there has been an increasing popularity with all types of skull-related accessories. Carmen Electra has been seen toting a skull-patterned purse while other celebrities have been modeling skull earrings, bracelets and even clothing.

What do you think of this trend. Would you wear these ultra-stylish scarves or would you prefer something a little more feminine and a little less rock.

You know me, I'm always up for a little more Rock! But I'm not about to pay $100 for a bloody scarf either!

I've seen some really nice ones for $30 and much less! All any style-gal (or guy) has to do is hit up a couple places on Queen St. in Toronto (try Tribal Rhythm) or drop by Kensington Market in Toronto and you'll get loads of great deals!
