Jennifer Hudson is making headlines once again for being the first African-American singer to appear on the cover of Vogue.
Hudson is now a part of an extremely exclusive club; only two other black women have been given the prestige of gracing the cover of the fashion bible - Halle Berry and Oprah. It's a great honor for the 25 year old star.
Hudson was photographed for the March issue by the esteemed Annie Leibovitz in New York City's Harlem Theatre. E! commented that the photos reflect what is happening to Hudson right now - the whirlwind life of a star on the rise.
There is also some early buzz on her outfit for the Oscars; Vogue's editor-at-large said that "her spirit is as a golden sun on a beautiful day, and I hope her outfit will reflect that." Does this mean Hudson will walk the red carpet in a gold gown that would give the Oscar statue a run for its money? Time will tell.
Quite a few criticisms have surfaced over the Vogue cover in fashion gossip circles; they claim the images used for the cover and the photo spread inside are unflattering, and basically disastrous.
