Five Ways To Update Your Look For Spring

It's easy to update your look this spring; these five tips and tricks will have you looking fresh for the new season!

1. Gold hues

Gold makeup was spotted on several runways for spring; the shimmering hue can give the face a ethereal glow. Use a touch of gold to highlight your features; on top of your cheekbones, brow bone, inner corner of the eyes, and in the bow of your lips. Just a little glitz can instantly brighten up your face. This easy to use gold pencil has a creamy texture and slim design for easy application, Benefit Gilded, $18; available at benefitcosmetics.com.

2. Metallic Eyeliner

Metallic colors catch the light and draw attention to your eyes; and they are a nice change from boring black. If you are adventurous, the most modern way to wear metallic eyeliner is to choose a vibrant, eye-catching shade like turquoise or copper. If neutrals are more your speed, the new brown and black formulas have a shiny, light reflective finish. If you want a easy to use metallic eyeliner with a lot of sheen check out Urban Decay liquid eye liner, $14; available at sephora.com.

3. Bronzer

A sun-kissed glow is essential as the weather heats up; bronzer helps to banish that pale winter pallor and instantly warms up your complexion. For an instant skin pick me up, sweep bronzer onto the bridge of your nose, and lightly on your forehead and temples. Check out Cargo Bronzer, $25; available at sephora.com.

 4. Nude lips

Soft, beige-pink lips are one of the makeup looks of the moment and luckily they are really easy to wear. Nude lips look great with natural and subtle makeup and they work equally well with more dramatic eyes. This look may wash out some complexions, so make sure your nude doesn’t have a gray cast and balance the look with a pop of pink blush on cheeks. Get a softly colored mouth with a shade like this: Benefit lipstick in Hollywood Roll, $16; available at benefitcosmetics.com.

5. Pink Cheeks

Pink works on tons of different skin tones – for fair complexions, try a cool toned pink; for darker complexions a warmer rose color looks best. For a goof-proof pink blush try Lorac Cheek Stamp, $22; available at sephora.com.
