April 20th has been declared Earth Day and there's no better way to save the environment than in style. Today, there are so many products on the market that are made with eco-friendly materials that there is no reason not to 'go green'. Millions of people all over the world, including celebrities like Leonardo Dicaprio and Stella McCartney have become huge supporters of green products and have made a big difference in the awareness of environmentally friendly living. April 22nd has officially become green awareness day and if you don't already support eco-friendly living, there's no better time to start than today.
Eco-Friendly Celebrities
It's official - green is the new pink. Celebrities all over the world are working together to raise awareness for eco-friendly living. Some of the largest celebrity contributors include Robin Williams, Leonardo Dicaprio, Alicia Silverstone, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Salma Hayek and Brad Pitt. These individuals may be using their celebrity status (and paychecks) to support the cause but there are little things you can do everyday to make a difference as well.
How to Make a Difference
Buying eco-friendly fashion, using eco-friendly appliances and driving eco-friendly cars are all great ways to support the environment and reduce pollution. I know, not everyone can afford these items but there are also cheaper ways to make a difference. Carpooling, turning off the light when you're not in a room and turning off your computer when you're not using it are all really easy ways to help save the earth.
Every little bit makes a difference, so try to make some small changes in your lifestyle. And if nothing else, wear green today and bring awareness to other people who may not know that April 20th is Earth Day.
