  • Marc by Marc Jacobs Launches Eyewear Collection

Designer darling, Marc Jacobs, is launching his new Marc by Marc Jacobs line of eyewear this spring. The line will be available at leading eye care professionals and it includes a range of sunglasses that are already available in stores.

The new eyewear will closely mimic the style and design elements that you would expect from the Marc by Marc Jacobs label. Expect contemporary styling and fun fashion colors - the line is dominated by traditional and stylized rectangular and oval shapes with accents like buttons, snaps, and studs.

Logo loving fashionistas will love shades embossed with the Marc by Marc Jacobs logo and with 12 vintage and urban inspired styles to choose from, you are guaranteed to find a pair you love.

  • Ten New Style Ideas for Spring

    1. Anything floral: This season's florals come in loose and swingy shapes and run the gamut from dainty prints to large motifs.

    2. A feminine suit: For this look, look for jackets and skirts that have a modern shape; no stuffy lapels, shoulder pads, or predictable pencil skirts. For this look, swingy and flirty is what you’re after.

    3. Long and lean trousers: The new way to wear basic black trousers is high-waisted and extremely narrow.

    4. Statement jewelry: Dress up all of your looks with a bold, chunky necklace. They are a great way to add some interest to a basic tee, and they compliment dressy looks too.

    5. Short, flirty dress: This style of dress looks great when the fabric allows for a lot of movement; short, swingy styles look the most modern right now.

    6. Gold bangles: The gold bangles are really bold and chunky; wear them piled on both wrists and make them the focal point of your entire outfit.

    7. Sporty styles: Not a glamour girl? No problem! There are plenty of sporty pieces available this spring.

    8. Eye-catching heels: The best heels of the season have great, unexpected textures like snakeskin and a tiny hint of a platform. Other hot trends: white, peep toe, and clear Lucite.

    9. Embellished tops: Top off your casual gear with a great basic top that has a bit of embellishment. Beading makes even a basic tee something special.

    10. A “not so basic” bag: Light colored bags heavy on the details are the it bags of the season. The hottest bags available now have a cool mix of unexpected materials like leather and PVC, or metal and fabrics.

  • Five Ways To Update Your Look For Spring

It's easy to update your look this spring; these five tips and tricks will have you looking fresh for the new season!

    1. Gold hues

Gold makeup was spotted on several runways for spring; the shimmering hue can give the face a ethereal glow. Use a touch of gold to highlight your features; on top of your cheekbones, brow bone, inner corner of the eyes, and in the bow of your lips. Just a little glitz can instantly brighten up your face. This easy to use gold pencil has a creamy texture and slim design for easy application, Benefit Gilded, $18; available at benefitcosmetics.com.

    2. Metallic Eyeliner

Metallic colors catch the light and draw attention to your eyes; and they are a nice change from boring black. If you are adventurous, the most modern way to wear metallic eyeliner is to choose a vibrant, eye-catching shade like turquoise or copper. If neutrals are more your speed, the new brown and black formulas have a shiny, light reflective finish. If you want a easy to use metallic eyeliner with a lot of sheen check out Urban Decay liquid eye liner, $14; available at sephora.com.

    3. Bronzer

A sun-kissed glow is essential as the weather heats up; bronzer helps to banish that pale winter pallor and instantly warms up your complexion. For an instant skin pick me up, sweep bronzer onto the bridge of your nose, and lightly on your forehead and temples. Check out Cargo Bronzer, $25; available at sephora.com.

     4. Nude lips

Soft, beige-pink lips are one of the makeup looks of the moment and luckily they are really easy to wear. Nude lips look great with natural and subtle makeup and they work equally well with more dramatic eyes. This look may wash out some complexions, so make sure your nude doesn’t have a gray cast and balance the look with a pop of pink blush on cheeks. Get a softly colored mouth with a shade like this: Benefit lipstick in Hollywood Roll, $16; available at benefitcosmetics.com.

    5. Pink Cheeks

Pink works on tons of different skin tones – for fair complexions, try a cool toned pink; for darker complexions a warmer rose color looks best. For a goof-proof pink blush try Lorac Cheek Stamp, $22; available at sephora.com.

  • Trend Report: In the Clear

For their spring and summer collections, designers experimented with an interesting mixture of textiles and textures. Several designers got caught up in the modern feeling of crystal clear materials like PVC and lucite; the look was both futuristic and cutting edge.

    Runway Inspiration: Prada Fall 2007

Despite the designer push, shoppers may not be as enthusiastic about the trend. Designer handbags cost a pretty penny, and most women just don't want to drop that kind of dough on PVC.

While it may or may not be a hit with shoppers, the trend was so influential on some designers that they decided to carry the "see through" element into their fall collections.

Whether you like it or not, clear accessories can be found everywhere right now, and if you love their edgy simplicity, pick up a shoe or bag quick before designers come up with the next big thing.

    Clear Winners

From top: Patent leather and transparent vinyl T-strap sandals, Chanel; clear yellow "Jelly Mouse" flat, Marc Jacobs; leather and vinyl Boarding Bag, Giovanna Furlanetto for Furla.

  • Paris Hilton Rocks the Runway for 2 B Free

Paris Hilton walked the catwalk during L.A Fashion Week for rock n' roll label, 2 B Free, in front of a celebrity packed audience.

The show took place at the Los Angeles nightclub, Boulevard3 on Monday night and it seems that the ultra hip clothes and equally hip venue attracted quite a crowd of Hollywood starlets. Tara Reid, Kimberly Caldwell, Hayden Panettiere and Elisha Cuthbert were all front row and center.

Hilton, who is one of the label's devoted celebrity fans, strutted the runway in layered looks; cropped sweatshirt-like tops or tunics over tanks and brightly colored leggings made up the majority of the fall collection.

The rest of the collection included short, short, short mini dresses sans leggings; it seems that in design duo Cedric and Yves Benaroch's world, you go bare, or you wear leggings. Unfortunately, fans of the brand's clothing will have to go elsewhere for pants this season.

Celebrity fans of the label include Carmen Electra, Jessica Simpson, and Nicole Richie.

  • M By Madonna Collection Launched in Stores

The new "M" by Madonna line launched yesterday at H&M stores worldwide; the collection has attracted the attention of both Madonna fans and fashionistas alike - but did it live up to the hype?

The collection itself is a nice combination of style and wearability; a majority of the pieces are seperates like classic trenches and sporty jackets that can be worn with pretty much everything. One downfall is the large price tag; prices start $30 and go up to $530.

    Our picks from the collection:

Despite the collection's high profile advertisting blitz, the general reception of the clothes was pretty ho hum. Fashion savvy shoppers just weren't that into the collection; it's all stuff we've seen before.

Stores have been reporting less than enthusiastic responses from customers; many had been anticipating a shopping frenzy with lineups out the door, but at some stores, only a handful of loyal fans showed up.

It seems that the novelty of the celebrity/top fashion designer mass market line has worn off - it's just all too common these days. Any style maven can head to Target for a design by Issac Mizrahi, and any fashionista worth her salt has a jacket from the Stella McCartney for H&M collection.

So, if mass market celebrity and high fashion designs have become passe, the fashion industry will have to move quickly to create the next big thing. Whatever it is, it better be good - this fashionista is still waiting to be wowed.

  • Sarah Jessica Parker Designs Low End Clothing Line

With so many mass clothing retailers teaming up with big name celebrities, it was only a matter of time before modern day style icon, Sarah Jessica Parker, was "bitten" by the designer bug.

In a surprising move, the Sex and the City star has teamed up with Steve and Barry's to produce a collection of clothing, footwear, and accessories. Steve and Barry's is a 200 unit chain that specializes in sportswear, logo tees, and licensed clothing for companies like Marvel Comics and Coors, that are a far cry from the couture looks that Parker usually favors.

The new Bitten line will be available June 7th; the collection has over 400 apparel and accessory items. The new summer line will include suit seperates in a wool and stretch blend, lightweight knits, cotton dresses, basics like denim and tees, sleepwear, and a swimwear collection. Accessory loving fashionistas should check out the extensive collection of handbags, jewelry, belts, and of course, shoes!

The line aims to provide high quality garments that are still incredibly affordable - the entire line is rumored to be $20 and under. And women of all sizes and shapes will be able to get their hands on the goods- the collection comes in a full range of sizes from small to XXL for tops and tanks, and 2-20 in pieces for your bottom half.

Overall, the collection is extremely casual, but really wearable. Nothing too exciting for the die-hard fashionistas out there, but if you are looking for some easy to wear sepearates, Bitten will be a perfect fit.

The Bitten collection will launch in June at Steve and Barry's stores across the country.

  • David Beckham Launches New Intense Fragrance

David Beckham's second fragrance from the House of Beckham isn't due to hit stores until May, but Think Fashion already has the inside scoop on the limited edition scent.

The global soccer legend's new spritz is called INTENSE INSTINCT; it's a masculine fragrance, developed with a fashionable and modern man in mind.

INTENSE INSTINCT starts off as an invigorating pick me up with effervescent notes of chilled melon, tangy lemon, and zingy ginger and middle notes of coriander, cedar, and violet leaves; the base softens the scent with white cedar, teak, and sensual musk.

The fragrance comes in a limited edition bottle designed to reflect David Beckham's sophisticated style. The distinctive bottle features the Beckham crest, ensuring that INTENSE INSTINCT will be a sought after commodity come May.

Our "average guy" tester, photographer Stephen Pell, says that the fragrance is really easy to wear; "it's pretty subtle - you won't get that "cologne overload" like you get with most men's stuff. I really like it!"
